Love in October
The new self-titled ep from Love in October has to be one of the more energetic releases Chicago has seen this year. Mastering the under 3 minute pop song, the band manages to retain the indie edge while creating an album that is clear, danceable, and simply a lot of fun. There is also an element of diversity on the album through a blending of sounds and languages. Overall, in just seven songs, Love in October displays its versatility and compulsion for danceable pop music.
Their ep was released on May 26th and is available here and here. The is currently headed east for a few shows, but you can check them out on June 27th at Martyrs’ for a record release show. The show starts at 10:00pm and tickets are $8. Check an interview from Columbia College as part of this year's Mainfest.
